Sikkim TET Exam Overview
The Education Department will be conducting the Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test in accordance with the provision of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education and the minimum qualification laid down by NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) for a person to be eligible for appointment as Primary Teacher for Classes I to V and for Elementary (Graduate) Teacher for Classes VI to VIII. Hence, the Education Department invites application from the local candidates for Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test 2019-20.
- STET (Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test) will be conducted once a year.
- A person who has qualified for STET may also appear again for improving his/her score in the following years.
The process of online registration has started on 04 March 2020, and online applications will be received only by 11 March 2020. Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) exam was scheduled to be held on April 11, 2020, but due to the Covid-19 epidemic, this exam was postponed.
